Eighth man sought in insider trading case

Authorities in Britain are seeking the extradition of an eighth suspect in an insider trading investigation involving printing offices at the London branches of two top banks, a source familiar with the case said.

The source said the missing suspect remained abroad but was unsure whether an international arrest warrant had been issued.

The hunt for the eighth man comes after the Financial Services Authority on Wednesday charged seven men with 13 counts of insider trading.

The men were linked to printing offices at Swiss bank UBS AG and British brokerage Cazenove. The case, which follows a 21-month investigation, involves information about 12 UK-listed companies. The investigation, codenamed Saturn, involved a team of 35 investigators, lawyers and support staff sifting through 200,000 electronic files.
