Engineer picks up another big contract

ENGINEER Clyde Process Solutions has won a £1.1m contract with a US confectionary company.

Through its MAC Equipment subsidiary, the Doncaster-based firm will supply a pneumatic conveying system to the Asian affiliate of the US company, as part of the expansion of a large factory in China.

Clyde Process Solutions is a global provider of pneumatic conveying and air-filtration solutions for process industries.

The group is involved primarily with the design and implementation of value-adding, energy saving and environmentally efficient solutions, which are used to handle the raw materials required to produce commodities such as metals, cement, chemicals, ethanol and foods.

The group has operations in Europe, North America, China, South America and South Africa, and uses its technologies to improve the operational effectiveness of their customers' production processes.

Last month, Clyde Process Solutions won two contracts worth a total of almost 2m in China and the US.

The company secured a 1m contract from a Chinese producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to provide a series of pneumatic conveying and truck unloading systems handling PVC resin.

Through its subsidiary MAC Equipment, the company also received an 800,000 order from an existing customer – a US food manufacturer diversified in producing cereals, baking products and a variety of food products under numerous brand names.
