Eurosafe hitting heights thanks to contract wins

A SPECIALIST fall protection company based in Sheffield has recorded growth of 30 per cent year on year and expanded its team thanks to a number of major infrastructure contracts.

Eurosafe Solutions offers a full range of design, supply and installation solutions for fall protection systems. It has more than 20 years of experience in the installation, testing, inspection and monitoring of these systems.

Among its new multi-national contracts are deals with Blackfriars Station in London, Reading Station and Heathrow Airport.

Some of the UK’s most iconic buildings are customers of Eurosafe Solutions. They include the O2 Arena, the Millennium Stadium, Gatwick Airport and the Emirates Stadium.

Other clients are equally well known. The firm’s systems are employed on a diverse range of buildings from the Olympics’ Aquatics centre to Snowdonia National Park’s visitor centre, the Houses of Parliament, London Docklands’ developments and many more.

Now it has recruited five new members of staff, bringing its workforce total to 49.

John Boyle, director of Eurosafe Solutions, said: “We have increased our business significantly over the past 12 months and the new appointments reflect our commitment to delivering the very best fall protection service to customers. Businesses recognise how important it is to have effective systems in place for work at height. By working with us, they have greater peace of mind and a highest level of protection for their employees and contractors.”

Eurosafe Solutions provides testing and inspection services for fall protection systems for schools, commercial and residential buildings, entertainment and leisure venues as well as major shopping centres across the country.

The company also provides personal protective equipment (PPE) products, harnesses, transfastners and personal rescue devices.

According to Boyle, as well as the surge in the transport and infrastructure sectors, the testing and inspection side of the business has also grown. He said: “I believe this is due to property managers and building owners recognising their requirements to meet the regulations for regular testing of their fall protection systems to reduce risks to staff and contractors.”

Eurosafe Solutions says it has built its reputation by going beyond the so-called ‘sample’ testing approach. It goes the extra mile by physically testing every system to apply a specified load for a number of minutes to each end component.

The new staff will be based at Eurosafe Solutions’ head office in Sheffield. Their collective pedigree is impressive.

Jonathan Maycock has spent 18 years in metal fabrication and machining. Lloyd Cooper studied mechanical design at university before joining Eurosafe Solutions. Jonathan Vaughan worked as an IT security consultant in Manchester.

Josh Dillon studied aeronautical engineering at Macclesfield College while Sam Wakeling graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BSc in Business Information Systems.

Eurosafe Solutions claims that its service to customers goes far beyond just selling equipment to them. It includes carrying out risk assessments, giving advice on the control of those risks identified, then designing and installing systems to allow its clients to implement these controls.
