Keynote speaker Ben Kaner, global health chief technology officer for BT Global Health, will lead a talk on the intersection of remote digital services, healthcare, social care and personal data.

Kate Allatt, who successfully recovered from locked-in syndrome, is also among the speakers at the event. She now dedicates her life to assisting those who have locked-in syndrome and runs the charity Fighting Strokes.

Andrew Riley, managing director of Yorkshire & Humber AHSN, said: “Yorkshire’s position in the digital sector is well recognised – but this event will provide an excellent platform to focus the minds of companies wanting to explore opportunities in healthcare.

“The line-up of speakers is exceptional, each providing a different perspective on the future of digital technologies in healthcare.

“It is the AHSN’s mission to create a partnership between patients, health services, industry and academia for the health and wealth of the nation – and we’re excited at the prospect of this conference providing the platform to help achieve that.”

The event will also host an associated exhibition at which companies working with the AHSN will exhibit their technologies and discuss their own experiences of product adoption and the NHS.

The Medilink Yorkshire & Humber Healthcare Business Awards will be held immediately after the event, celebrating the achievements of the region’s leading healthcare and life science organisations.
