Family law specialists announce merger
Taylor&Emmet is joining forces with Hallam Mediation, an independent firm of specialist mediators serving Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Wakefield and Leeds.
Marilyn Cumberland of Hallam Mediation is to become a partner at Taylor&Emmet.

Hide AdMs Cumberland and her staff will to continue to operate under the existing brand, as a trading division of the firm. As a result, of the merger, Taylor&Emmet has 163 staff, including the Hallam Mediation team and the equity partners.
Head of family law, Michaela Heathcote, will be responsible for managing the integration and growth of Taylor&Emmet’s mediation services.
The firm already has one of the Yorkshire’s largest family law teams.
It advises clients on a wide range of marital issues, from pre-nuptial agreements and financial settlements to disputes relating to children.

Hide AdMs Heathcote said: “Marilyn is extremely well known and respected within her profession, having pioneered the growth of mediation in the area and her skills will be a valuable addition to the services we provide.

Taylor&Emmet’s merger with Hallam Mediation is part of a wider strategy of growth for the firm.
