Filtronic finance officer to step down

A businessman who provided leadership at a Yorkshire-based microwave electronic products manufacturer during periods of “significant growth and expansion” is stepping down next year.

Filtronic, which is based in Yeadon, near Leeds, announced yesterday that Mike Brennan, the company’s chief financial officer, has informed the board of his intention to leave the company in April, 2014.

He joined Filtronic in 2009.

Alan Needle, the company’s chief executive, said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Mike.

“We are grateful for his loyalty, dedication and commitment to Filtronic over his term as CFO and I have appreciated his contribution and support over the years as well as his desire to ensure an orderly handover.”

Howard Ford, Filtronic’s chairman, added: “On behalf of the board, I wish to thank Mike for his substantial contribution to the company.”

A search for a successor is underway.

The company confirmed that it continues to trade in line with expectations.
