Financial strength helps Vp to pour cash into new equipment

Vp said its recent recruitment of new apprentices under-lines its appetite to grow.

It has taken on 13 new apprentices, working in its UK Forks division, Airpac Bukom oil and gas arm and Hire Station division. “It’s gone down extremely well in the business,” said managing director Neil Stothard.

“We’ve got a great bunch of lads who’ve come in and that’s our investment at that very important first job level.”

The group last recruited apprentices three or four years ago, but lack of interest and the recession curtailed its programme.
