Firm's 65 years of shaping city skyline

BUILDING and contracting company JF Finnegan is celebrating its 65th anniversary.

The Sheffield-based firm, which has worked on retail, industrial and business parks, hotels, educational facilities and heritage / conservation projects, was formed in 1945 to participate in the post-war housing programme.

It began in a disused brick quarry at its base on Ecclesall Road, with wooden huts as offices.
