Flexibility helps group add staff

A YORKSHIRE-based computer hardware company is hiring more staff after adopting a flexible approach to meeting customers’ needs during the economic downturn.

Harrogate based Advanced Digital Dynamics (ADD) expects to see its full year turnover rise from £1.47m to £2m this year.

The company moved to Harrogate from Selby in February 2010. ADD specialises in distributing servers and other parts for computer hardware. Julie Pickersgill, operations director at ADD, said: “Unlike many other organisations we are continuing to invest in training staff in the difficult current economic climate, having substantially increased our turnover in the last couple of years.”

The company has seen its staff numbers increase from four to 12 over the last year. It recently took on Tom Weets, a former pupil at Harrogate High School, as an apprentice.
