Food giants to appear on Broadway

WESTFIELD and Meyer Bergman yesterday announced that food retailers KFC, Burger King and Key Potato have signed to take space in the Broadway shopping centre in Bradford.

The new food court operators join leading UK retailers including anchors Debenhams and Marks & Spencer, along with Next, Topshop and Topman, River Island and Sainsbury Local.

Three out of the seven food courts are now leased and Westfield and Meyer Bergman are in discussions with a number of national and local Bradford food and restaurant operators to complete the food court lettings.

Bill Giouroukos, Westfield’s director of operations, said: “We’re delighted at the progress we’ve made in 2014, with construction having commenced at the start of year and exciting retailers signing up to the scheme.

“The Broadway development has strong retailer demand, and well over 50 per cent of the centre’s floor space is now committed.”

Westfield is developing the delayed scheme on behalf of owner Meyer Bergman.
