He replaces Barbara Colledge, who has moved into a new role at the university as ‘Dean of Quality’.

Professor Susan Price, Vice Chancellor of Leeds Metropolitan University, said: “I am delighted that Professor Prince is joining our university, it is particularly fitting that he is also an alumnus.

“His role at Birmingham City University has seen him develop the size and reputation of its business school into a leading practice-based business school and we look forward to welcoming him to our Faculty of Business and Law, where I am sure he will make a very positive impact.”

Professor Prince has previously worked at the University of Derby and Nottingham Trent University and is credited with a number of achievements under his current leadership at Birmingham City Business School, including the redesign of its curriculum leading to significant increases in applications, student progression and satisfaction, with the school climbing up the business school league tables during his time as Dean.
