The prominent Leopold Hotel in Sheffield city centre, looks rather different on the inside these days but has retained several original features, including a coat rack.

Now the four-star venue, which opened in 2007, has been put on the market by its private investor owners, who bought the building eight years ago.

The hotel, which is located off Leopold Street, has 89 en suite rooms, a bar, restaurant and fitness suite, in addition to conferencing and wedding facilities.

It is being marketed by Colliers International and Bilfinger GVA, who are inviting substantial offers for the long leasehold interest.

Julian Troup, head of UK hotels agency at agent Colliers International, said: “The Leopold Hotel is Sheffield’s only four star boutique hotel and attracts business from Sheffield’s corporate market, together with tourist and function related business.

She added: “The hotel has the potential to be branded, which could enable a purchaser to enhance the earnings and profitability of the business.”
