Fresh look for hotel after £500,000 deal

A Yorkshire hotel is undergoing a £500,000 refurbishment after it was acquired by a new leisure group.

The Elton House Hotel at Bramley in Rotherham aims to become a leading boutique hotel in the region after it was acquired for an undisclosed sum by Sheffield-based Beyond Hotels.

Investment in the 29-bedroom former Best Western hotel includes the development of an independent restaurant-bar, which will be known as "Tanners at The Elton" and specialise in contemporary British cuisine.
