Funding deal to see Expion take on more staff as its expansion plan continues

A RECRUITMENT firm in West Yorkshire which focuses on the manufacturing, engineering and commercial sectors, plans to take on new staff following a six-figure funding deal.

Expion, which has its head office in Huddersfield and bases in Leeds and Silverstone, also aims to grow the number of its office locations from three to five after agreeing the deal with Santander Corporate and Commercial.

The firm was established in 2010, and has registered revenue growth of around 100 per cent each year.

Its focus on service, market knowledge and candidate selection has seen it quickly establish itself with a strong and broad client base.

The firm was voted Best Recruiter Overall at the prestigious RecruitRank Awards 2011, and counts the likes of Nestle, Advanced Medical Solutions, Princes, Johnson & Johnson and Arla as key clients.

It now plans to use the new funding support to open up to two further offices, in addition to growing its headcount at its established locations in Huddersfield, Leeds and Silver- stone.

And its three-year plan also includes increasing staff numbers to in excess of 50 and growing turnover above £10m.

“We are always looking to grow Expion further and the support from Santander Corporate and Commercial will be fundamental to our future three-year growth strategy.”

Santander Corporate and Commercial said Expion has a clear path for continued growth.
