General Legal teams up with Skippy

GENERAL Legal Protection has won a contract with car insurance broker Go Skippy to provide breakdown cover to the firm’s customers.

The contract is worth more than £600,000 over the next 12 months. York-based General Legal Protection has seven staff and a turnover of £3m.

André Scruton, MD of General Legal Protection, said of Go Skippy, which launched last year: “Go Skippy has the potential to become a market leader in the car insurance market and is quickly building an impressive customer base which makes this an extremely prestigious contract for us.”

Go Skippy and its branding are themed around children’s television series, Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, which was first shown in the 1960s.

The show was revived in 1992 and changed its name to The Adventures of Skippy.
