Get on a plane and export, Deloitte tells firms
London-based Deloitte believes it is “absolutely critical” to have a broad-based footprint across the UK.
The accountancy firm has 12,000 staff in this country, including 500 in Yorkshire and the North East.
CEO David Sproul said: “It’s critical in mirroring where the economy is because clearly London is not just an important part of the UK economy, it’s an important part of the international economy, but it isn’t what powers a lot of UK GDP.
“Where we see the future of the UK economy coming from is around those private backed, mid-sized capital, mid-size listed companies where so much of the innovation comes from.”
