Get wasp-free without the sting in the tail

A YORKSHIRE company is urging lovers of the countryide to "live and let live" when it comes to dealing with wasps.

The Waspinator, which creates wasp-free zones without killing the insects and without using any chemicals, is a repellent in the form of an artificial wasps' nest.

When visiting wasps see the Waspinator hanging up, they believe another wasp colony has taken over the surrounding area. Wasps are territorial, which means they will keep away, according to Waspinator's creators.

Richard Piddocke, of Waspinator, which is based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, said: "Waspinator is based upon the principle that prevention is always better than cure.Conventional wasp traps aim to deal with wasps by first attracting and then killing them – but why do this when you can just prevent them from coming near you in the first place?"
