Ginetta backing the all-star cast

WHEN they’re not dealing with the murder trials and domestic upheavals that are part of a soap star’s fictional life, a group of northern TV actors take to the pitch as the AllStars celebrity football team.

Over the past 20 years, the AllStars have raised £750,000 for charity. The team is now sponsored by Ginetta, the Yorkshire-based luxury car manufacturer, owned by entre-preneur Lawrence Tomlinson.

Flanked by a Ginetta G60, the celebrities unveiled their orange and white strip, which includes the motor sport firm’s logo.

Ginetta AllStars player Will Mellor said: “Many of us have already taken Ginetta’s G40 race car around the track at Silverstone; let’s hope the squad’s performance on the field is better than it was on the track!”

Ginetta is part of the LNT Group, which is based in Garforth, near Leeds.
