Torque’s headquarters in Wortley, near Leeds, and sites in Bradford’s Cutler Heights Lane and Holme Lane have a total capacity of almost 1m sq ft, and employ around 500 people.

Simon Damp, European sales director, The Gorilla Glue Company, said: “We needed a logistics partner that could deliver to all our customers, from Tesco to corner shops, on time, correctly and professionally.”

The Gorilla Glue Company, which is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is one of the biggest adhesive providers in the United States.

Torque has a turnover of £60m and employs more than 700 people across sites in Leeds, Bradford, Wigan and London.

Torque – formerly known as the Elite Group – has grown organically since its formation more than 20 years ago.
