Mothiur Rahman, 35, from Bradford is one of the faces featured in the advert, continuing his role as a business analyst from home, which he shares with his wife and four children.

Mr Rahman said: “At the moment, I’m working from home in my son’s bedroom, which can be interesting at times with the children off school.

"As part of my role I am responsible for making sure our branches can still operate safely in the current conditions so despite being separated from my team, we’ve been pulling together to make sure Halifax can still be there for those who need us.

“It’s been a great experience being involved in making the advert and I hope when our customers see it they feel reassured that Halifax is with them every step of the way at what is a worrying time for many.”

Russell Galley, managing director of the Halifax, said: “It’s at times of adversity when you see the best in people and I am incredibly proud of Mothiur and our colleagues right across the country for their dedication at this challenging time.

"They are the heart and soul of Halifax and continue to show such commitment and compassion for customers despite the current circumstances. This is why we wanted to take the opportunity to showcase the effort colleagues are making to maintain their support for hundreds of thousands of families every day, whether that’s within a branch, call centre or from makeshift office space at home.”

The advert will premiere on Saturday April 18 during the ad break of Britain’s Got Talent on ITV.
