Health firms set out stall in Middle East

YORKSHIRE healthcare firms are set to travel to Dubai for a major Middle Eastern medical exhibition.

The healthcare technology companies will show off their medical devices at Arab Health 2010, which is expected to attract 55,000 visitors and is the largest such event in the region. The Middle Eastern healthcare sector is worth an estimated $74bn.

Rotherham-based Inditherm Medical will unveil its patient warming systems, which are designed to reduce the risk of hypothermia, wound infections, and blood loss. Also among those attending is Surgical Innovations, from Leeds, which designs and makes surgical devices.
