Fieldside Business Support Limited, formerly OHS Limited, was placed into administration on January 31.

Martin Halligan of Live Recoveries was appointed administrator to the Leeds-based business, owned by well-known entrepreneur Martin Penny, who co-founded the hairstyle brand ghd in 2001.

In a statement to The Yorkshire Post, Live Recoveries said: “The majority of the company’s employees have been made redundant although several employees have been retained to assist the administrator and complete work in progress.

“A number of expressions of interest for the company’s business have been made. Should anyone have an interest in the business, please contact Jonny Jowett of Live Recoveries.”

OHS said the administrator has made 15 redundancies, leaving a workforce of around 50 employees across the wider OHS Group Ltd, which includes energy consultancy Compliance365.

OHS Limited is a supplier to the supermarket industry. It has lost a number of contracts in the last two years. The Leeds-based health, safety and environmental compliance consultancy continues to trade as a going concern.

Mr Penny, chairman of OHS Group, said: “It is with sadness that we have had to appoint administrators and lose valued members of staff. Our aim is to bring the business back to profitability, win new contracts and retain as many jobs as possible.”

Mr Penny is the sole shareholder and biggest creditor of OHS Ltd. Compliance365 is unaffected and continues to trade as normal.
