Henry Boot in joint venture with NHS trust

Construction group Henry Boot said its property development arm Henry Boot Developments has formed a joint venture with Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust to revamp the former St Luke's hospital site in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield, and any surplus properties.

This partnership aims to "ensure that best value will be secured" from the site. Its first project will be the redevelopment of new office and clinical space at Acre Mill, a former manufacturing facility, next to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Jamie Boot, Henry Boot's group managing director, said: "Henry Boot Developments has a long history of undertaking innovative and successful property partnerships.

"This partnership is believed to be one of the first of its kind involving an NHS Foundation Trust and will enable the continued development of local health services within the NHS Foundation Trust in spite of public spending constraints."
