High speed broadband ensures Stables are full
The Stables development at Newby Hall, near Ripon, has reached full capacity after attracting 16 businesses, despite the global slump. Apart from the peaceful location, it’s biggest selling point is probably the fact that it’s got high speed broadband. The Stables is keeping pace with the 21st century with help from NYNET, a public-sector backed organisation that provides broadband to rural parts of North Yorkshire, and IT support firm, Skipton Systems.
Eleanor Sharp, spokesman for the Stables, said: “When we opened up as a commercial development in 2005, the broadband speeds we received were adequate. However, with the rapid advancement of technology over the last couple of years, we were struggling to attract new occupiers for our offices with these slow speeds.”

Hide AdPaul Crane, business development director at NYnet, said yesterday: “The Stables was a challenge, we really investigated every possible solution to get connectivity to the park but fibre was really the only viable option. We are pleased the estate and the occupiers are now using the new connection and it is making a difference to the estate as a whole.”
