Hill Dickinson to streamline services

LAW firm Hill Dickinson, which has an office in Sheffield, today revealed that it was streamlining its services following an operational review.

The number of practice groups will be cut from seven to four.

The insurance and professional risks practice groups have merged to form one insurance unit which will be headed by business group leader Ruth Lawrence.

The employment and pensions, property and construction and company commercial practice groups have been amalgamated to form one business services unit which will be headed by David Chinn. The health and marine business groups are unaffected by the changes.

Managing partner Peter Jackson said: “As part of our ongoing process to review the firm’s strategy we undertook an extensive internal consultation programme to ensure we continue to offer the most effective service to our clients.”

Last year, Hill Dickinson struck a deal to buy the remains of the Sheffield office of law firm Halliwells after it went into administration. Today, Hill Dickinson has 44 staff in Sheffield.
