A company spokesman said yesterday: “The listed building no longer met the requirements of a growing and busy practice. With many businesses moving out of the heart of the city centre, the partners at Dutton Moore made the decision to stay and invest in the city.”

Tony Bullock, the firm’s managing partner, said: “We are constantly investing in our future and we are delighted to have purchased Aldgate House. Our new home will perfectly accommodate our practice into the future.

“We remain committed to Hull city centre and this is a clear sign that our future remains here.

“We are a large business with clients all over the region, but our focus is to stay true to who we are and remain within the city cen- tre.”
