Housebuilder on move to its own new home

YORKSHIRE-based house builder Beal Homes plans to move into a new £1.5m head office next year.

The investment will see Beal Homes move from its current headquarters on Hedon Road in Hull, to the new Bridgehead Business Park, which is being developed by the Hull-based Wykeland Group, at Hessle.

Richard Beal, the company’s chairman and managing director, said it was a “strategic move” which will place Beal Homes more centrally within its Yorkshire and Lincolnshire operating area.

He added: “We are excited to be moving forward with plans for our new, purpose-built headquarters for Beal Homes following planning approval this summer.

“While staying within East Yorkshire, the move to Bridgehead, close to the Humber Bridge, will bring our head office closer to current and future developments for operational purposes.

“Two years ago we introduced our customer selection lounge, which buyers visit for consultations to decide on the interior layout and specification of their new home.”

The new headquarters will also provide extra office space.

A spokesman said that the 35-strong Beal Homes head office team had outgrown the current offices, and all the staff have agreed to the move.

Along with site-based personnel, Beal Homes employs around 100 people.

Work is due to start on the 11,000 sq ft head office in the spring.

Beal Homes is expected to move into the new HQ in late 2013.
