How Dixons Carphone has recovered two thirds of sales lost to lockdown

The group saw online sales soar 166 per cent in the five weeks to April 25, though overall UK and Ireland electricals sales tumbled 16 per cent as it was forced to shut stores.

International sales lifted 16 per cent in the five weeks, with total group 52-week electricals sales so far up 2 per cent.

Dixons revealed its stores would normally have delivered around £400m of sales in the year, but this has been partially offset as its online operation has "maintained our unambiguous price promise, continued investment in delivery and carried on growing our range for customers".
