HSBC choice for Mamas & Papas

MAMAS & Papas, the nursery brand, has dropped its state-owned bank for HSBC as its focuses on new international growth in 2010.

The Huddersfield-based business has arranged a multi-million pound funding package with HSBC in a major win for "the world's local bank".

HSBC said yesterday the deal heralds the start of a new relationship which sees the baby-and-mother retail group move all its banking to the Leeds-based corporate team.
