Premier League football team Huddersfield Town hosted a business breakfast which acted as a forum for discussions about how to bring jobs and investment to the West Yorkshire town, The event, which was held in association with Louise Woollard Financial, followed the launch of the #backinghuddersfield campaign, which encourages local people to spread the word about the benefits of living and working in Huddersfield. The event included a presentation from Chris Cahill of St James’s Place Wealth Management and a speech from Greg Wright, the deputy business editor of The Yorkshire Post, about economic prospects. The audience, which included Sean Jarvis, the commercial director of Huddersfield Town, heard that local companies have a major role to play as ambassadors for the town.
Louise Woollard said: “The breakfast was an opportunity to ally two of my big passions, financial planning and improving my local community. It was refreshing to hear Greg talk about the local economy in a positive light and how Huddersfield had an opportunity to reinvent itself, both nationally and globally. I love the warmth of a Yorkshire audience and, as always, it was a pleasure to host this event in partnership with Huddersfield Town.”
