Human interest – YP writer is commended at HR awards

THE Yorkshire Post business desk has received a prestigious accolade at a major media awards ceremony.

Deputy Business Editor Greg Wright was "highly commended" in the regional media category at the Towers Watson Awards for Excellence in HR Journalism 2010, which were held in Tothill Street, London.

Wright, who won the inaugural regional award last year, was praised for his entry which included an analysis of the harm that could be inflicted on deprived parts of Yorkshire by tougher immigration laws. His entry also analysed the work of a Yorkshire software company which is trying to prevent child abuse tragedies by improving communication among human resources professionals.
