Ideal day...walking on moors with husband and dogs

Working during the summer holidays in our local veterinary practice.

If you weren’t in your current position, what would you be doing?

I love to cook for people, and I am often told that I could run a very successful B&B.

What was your worst mistake?

When I was in school I had very long, curly hair, and one day decided to have it cut very short. It looked like a tea cosy sitting on my head.

What’s your ideal day away from the office?

A day out walking in the sunshine on the moors, with my husband, two dogs and finish the day with good food.

Name one person you would like to have dinner with and why?

Cyclist David Millar. I found the way he turned everything around through hard work very inspirational

What was your best subject at school?

Biology, I really loved science subjects.

What are your hobbies?

Cycling and walking in the moors with my husband and two dogs, Broc and Weebl

What would you do if you won the Lottery?

Make sure all of my friends and family were looked after, buy a house, have a long holiday and set up a Dachshund rescue centre.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?

A Rapha cycling jacket

What’s your favourite time of day?

When I get home from work and my dogs are so excited to see me

What’s the best thing about Yorkshire?

The food.

Never give up hope
