iPrints prove to have that winning touch

iPrints, a new product that allows consumers to use touchscreen devices while wearing gloves, has launched in the UK.

Leeds-based inventor and entrepreneur Phil Mundy teamed up with clothing manufacturer Fordville to develop and produce the product.

The iPrints are adhesive strips that attach directly to the gloved finger, enabling the wearer to use touch-sensitive devices as they would with their bare hands. Mr Mundy came up with the idea for iPrints after failing to find ways to use his smartphone without removing his gloves. The only option available on the market was to purchase specifically designed, touchscreen-compatible ones, said Mr Mundy.

Mr Mundy said: “I searched around for an answer to use a touchscreen without taking my gloves off, but only found touchscreen-friendly ones. I wanted a cost-effective alternative that allowed me to use my smartphone while still wearing whichever gloves I wanted.”
