Irwin to take a SIP from InTechnology

Cloud provider InTechnology has won a contract with Yorkshire’s largest law firm Irwin Mitchell.

Headquartered in Sheffield, national law firm Irwin Mitchell has teamed up with Harrogate-based InTechnology to make savings to its telephony and data operations. InTechnology identified that the firm could make savings by migrating its calls and lines over to it and by switching from ISDN to SIP trunks.

ISDN is a network connection to the telephone networks, which companies have traditionally used alongside a separate data connection. Using SIP, businesses can “converge all voice and data services down one single connection”, costing less, said the company.

Roy Farrow, divisional product director at InTechnology said: “SIP Trunking offers a host of capabilities above and beyond ISDN30, and as demonstrated with Irwin Mitchell, there are considerable cost savings to be had.”

The Yorkshire Post’s Buy Yorkshire campaign is calling on businesses in the region to ‘buy local’ when requiring goods or services to boost the local economy.

The law firm has nine offices across the country so InTechnology designed a phased roll-out.
