Just Car Clinics snaps up rival group

CRASH repair group Just Car Clinics has bought the business and assets of a rival Yorkshire firm.

The company, which is based in Goole, has bought a Keighley-based business for 50,000, including plant and equipment, goodwill, stock and work in progress.

The business employs 19 team members and operates from a 10,000 square foot facility which will be occupied under a 15-year lease.

This acquisition continues Just Car Clinics' expansion strategy.

It now operates from a network of 26 locations throughout England.

Chief executive Barry Whittles said: "The addition of the new Keighley site, which was supported by key corporate clients, continues our strategy of growing our repair network whilst remaining focused on delivering excellent service and local care to all our customers on a consistent basis."

The acquired business will undergo a period of development, training and integration and will adopt Just Car Clinics' operating procedures and brand identity.

The integration process will focus on ensuring high levels of customer service with minimum disruption.

Heavy snowfall earlier this year boosted the group's volumes and profits during the first four months of the year.

The group continues to look for opportunities to expand after buying two garages at the end of 2009.
