Klinger ready to invest £1m in distribution

The industrial gaskets specialist, which is based at Bradford’s Euroway Industrial Estate, is to invest £1m at its Aberdeen and Runcorn distribution centres. The investment will double the size of both centres and add emergency manufacturing facilities for both metal and soft gaskets.

The investment is in response to increased production at the company’s Bradford manufacturing base.

Managing director Alan Bates said yesterday: “Our specialist distribution centres in Scotland and the North West are vital service points for the UK offshore oil and gas industry and as we expand production in Bradford, we also need to extend and improve our distribution facilities.”

Klinger UK is one of the world’s biggest developers, manufacturers and distributors of sealing products for the global oil and gas industry. It also has a growing customer base in the aerospace, pharmaceutical, food and nuclear industries.

Klinger UK has 120 staff and an annual turnover of around £24m.
