The group, which recently acquired Leeds law firm Shulmans, said the promotions reflect its commitment to developing talent. The firm has ambitions to become the leading legal and professional services business in key markets outside London.

Its Leeds office will be joining Channel 4 in the six-storey Majestic building, which was formerly both a cinema and a nightclub.

A Knights’ spokesperson said: “With the integration of Shulmans successfully completed ahead of schedule, we are delighted with our presence in Leeds and look forward to continued growth in the city.”

The promotions follow the hiring of nearly 30 partners in recent months.

David Beech, chief executive of Knights, said: “We’re delighted to announce the promotions of over 80 of our people today as Knights continues to maintain its momentum in developing talent in the industry.
