La Redoute appoints CEO to bring French chic to British women

​​French fashion brand La Redoute has ​appointed ​Richard Burke as CEO of ​Bradford-based ​La Redoute UK.

​Mr Burke, who will report to Michael Truluck, CEO of La Redoute International, succeeds Saida Gallouj, who has moved to the role of head of the group’s online operation laredoute.com.

​Mr Burke ​started his career 20 years ago within warehouse operations.

The French firm said he has built a reputation as a results-driven executive with a proven ability to put in place innovative business solutions and processes.

He rose through the ranks at both Empire Stores and Redcats and has held the role of chief operating officer at La Redoute UK since 2012.

M​r Truluck​ said​: “Richard’s progression in the retail environment, detailed knowledge of the business and his close involvement in the development of our current business strategy made him the ideal choice for the role.

“Richard has a real enthusiasm and passion for ensuring people reach their potential and he has a proven ability to grow great teams which will be pivotal in the success of La Redoute UK.”
