Mr Pearey and Mr Fell’s roles were confirmed yesterday as the leadership of the firm’s Scottish, Welsh and English regional offices were announced.

Andrew Gould was previously named as the chief executive of the UK business, while Richard Batten was named UK executive chairman.

Mr Gould said: “We have brought together outstanding leadership drawn equally from both original organisations. This tremendously powerful group will take our business forward across the UK. I have every confidence in their ability to provide outstanding client service and drive long-term growth.”

Jones Lang LaSalle bought King Sturge for £197m. It will pay £98m in cash now and settle the balance over the next five years.
