Launch of holiday cottage venture to provide home from home comforts

THE launch of a holiday cottage lettings business is set to create 10 to 12 jobs.

Yorkshire Coastal Cottages, which has its head office in Leeds, will also be opening a coastal office, the location of which has yet to be confirmed. Chartered surveyor and co-founder of independent estate agents Beadnall Copley, David Copley, has launched the business with Susan Goss-Clements, who has 30 years of experience in marketing, and sales specialist Robert Clements. The company will be specialising in high-end properties.

Mr Copley said: “Consumers are increasingly demanding and want home-from-home luxury when they holiday; we don’t believe the standard booking agency model that dominates the sector adds sufficient value to owners or guests.

“We will be offering exclusive services in this niche market of top quality holiday properties with high levels of customer care yet charge owners a very competitive 15 per cent commission rate.”

The firm launches with a portfolio of 50 cottages with the goal of managing 100 cottages by the year end.

The services include a 24/7 advice line for guests and a management service for cottage owners, including marketing, bookings, guest liaison and interior design.
