Law firm adds to its corporate team

LAW firm Hammonds is boosting its corporate team with the appointment of a financial regulatory partner.

Paul Anderson has joined the firm's Leeds office from Addleshaw Goddard, where he was a legal director advising clients from a broad range of retail and wholesale financial services businesses.

Before joining Addleshaw Goddard, he was assistant general counsel at Prudential-Bache and before that an associate at a magic circle firm.

His work covers financial regulatory issues, product and services development, terms and conditions for the financial sector, regulated funds, FSMA perimeter issues, FSA authorisations, FSA rule compliance and anti-money laundering advice.

Jonathan Jones, head of Hammonds in Leeds, said: "Paul is a very significant addition to our corporate team and he will play a key role in building our reputation in the financial services market. His strong background in financial regulatory advice compliments Hammonds' existing services to the financial services industry."

Mr Anderson's appointment follows that of Andrew Jordan who joined Hammonds in early November as a partner in the Leeds corporate team.
