Lawyers call on Government to improve advice

A GLOBAL law firm is calling on the Government to boost the export prospects of smaller UK companies by providing clearer advice on regulatory compliance.

Squire Sanders, which has an office in Leeds, has published a White Paper: How Global Compliance is Affecting your Business.

Jonathan Jones, Leeds office managing partner, said: “While it is self-evident that those companies with greater resources are likely to find it easier to deal with additional regulatory burdens, it is important that SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) aren’t discouraged from exporting because of this.”

The White Paper has a seven-point plan for regulatory reform which Squire Sanders is urging the Government to implement.
