The project has established Well Pharmacy as the first ‘bricks and mortar’ chain in the industry to transform the way it interacts with customers with the roll-out of a large-scale digital offering.

The service successfully moved from start-up phase to one of the UK’s biggest online pharmacies in little over 18 months.

The service makes life easier for patients and customers who want the convenience of ordering non-urgent prescriptions via Well’s app or website.

The service also helps pharmacists at the chain’s 746 pharmacies to focus on their patients and customers without stop-starting their work to complete non-urgent prescriptions.

Paul Henshaw, joint managing director of Leeds-based Infinity Works, said: “We wanted to make sure this was an incredibly easy-to-use service for anyone, from an 84-year-old with limited mobility to a busy working parent who cannot use a pharmacy during usual working hours.

“The digital transformation that Well Pharmacy undertook has improved customer and patient experience as its core objective. The project has delivered what Well Pharmacy set out to achieve.”
