The Leeds City Region Trade and Investment Showcase will run from 7-15 September 2021, with nine high-level panel sessions across the five days.

This event is a major opportunity to hear from multiple inward investors representing key themes of the economy, such as modern communications, artificial intelligence, creative and media, biologics, drug discovery, materials, finance, and transport. As well as highlighting new investors, the LEP (Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership) will also highlight several major new international trade opportunities.

As part of the region’s economic recovery plan, the LEP has taken steps to align the economic profile of the region with the sectors of the economy that are naturally thriving and where investment flows are occurring.

As a result, the region has strengthened its position as a leading region for investors and maintained much stronger levels of inward investment than the rest of the UK and Europe overall.

Sir Roger Marsh OBE DL, Chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and NP11 said: “This is set to be the most disruptive decade in history for both the economy and society. Technologies are converging to bring transformational change to every major industry across the globe and the implications for the region’s economy are profound.”

“Despite much uncertainty, extraordinary opportunities exist to deliver significant economic growth, and we have worked hard to make sure our region is in a strong position to capitalise upon them.”

“I would encourage all of our partners and businesses to register for this event. It is a great opportunity to hear about our new investors and their exciting activities and ambitions, which will drive forward the region’s economy, increase our international profile and provide future highly-skilled job opportunities at a time when we need them most.”
