In line for top awards

Nineteen architectural projects in Yorkshire have been shortlisted for the 2010 Royal Institute of British Architecture Yorkshire White Rose Awards.

Broadcasting Place – Leeds Metropolitan University's new faculty of arts and society building – is on the list alongside City Inn hotel in Leeds, Granary Wharf in Leeds and St George's Square in Huddersfield.

A conservation project to repair and conserve the existing masonry of Selby Abbey is also competing for an award.

The winners will be announced at a special awards evening at Sheffield City Hall on Friday, November 26.
