Lockwoods to draw on the Jubilee experience

FRESH from working on one of the country’s biggest events of the year, Caz Lockwood has returned to her Yorkshire roots.

Miss Lockwood worked as a freelance event producer for the Royal Barge, the vessel that carried the Royal Family in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee river pageant. She was with the Queen on the Royal Barge as it led the flotilla of 1,000 boats down the Thames earlier this year.

But now, Miss Lockwood, originally from Northallerton, has returned from London and joined her brother Matthew to help expand their event management and outside catering business, Lockwoods on Location, which was founded three years ago.

This business was born out of Ripon restaurant, Lockwoods, which Mr Lockwood has spent the last seven years developing.

Miss Lockwood said: “It was an absolute privilege to be part of such an important public event as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and gave me a few visits to Buckingham Palace. I now want to use that experience to grow Lockwoods on Location into a large scale business.”

She added: “We are looking to secure high quality venue contracts as the exclusive caterers. We are also looking to create our own fundraising event.”

Mr Lockwood, who owns the business, said: “It is a family business, we are proud of our personal approach, and the restaurant is a showcase of what we do.”
