Mabey Hire to branch out with sales division

MABEY Hire, a £34m turnover group serving the construction industry, has launched a new trading division as part of its expansion plans.

Mabey Sales, the new product sales division of Dewsbury-based Mabey Hire, has appointed Richard Hinckley as the division’s business development manager. His career covers a range of industries with companies such as Shorco, ESS Safeforce and Total Access UK. The new division will sell a range of its engineering and construction solutions direct to customers.

Mr Hinckley said: “I am excited to join such a progressive company as Mabey with the launch of this new trading division. I am really looking forward to developing the Mabey Sales business and product offering, starting specifically with the industry-leading EuroMat product range.”

The EuroMat ground protection system provides a temporary access solution to plant, vehicles and pedestrians on soft ground and is manufactured from 100 per cent recycled high density polyethylene.

“Richard is another significant addition to our growing management team, and I’m sure he will develop our new sales division as per our ambitious business plan,” said Mark Rooney, managing director at Mabey Hire, which employs 393 staff.

“There are more products coming on board and in development, so Richard will be key to ensuring the channels to market are well established, and our customers can get access to whatever they need, whenever they need it.”

Mabey Hire is part of the family-owned Mabey Group. Mabey Hire includes the companies previously known as Murrayplant and Mabey Support Systems.

Mabey Hire offers hire products to the construction industry including groundworks, formwork and falsework, propping and jacking, planning and programming, temporary bridging, and contract services.
