'Mafia' dons take seats on panel

Lawrence Tomlinson. founder and chairman of LNT Group, has joined the line-up for the first Billion Pound Panel, which will feature at The Yorkshire Mafia Conference.

Mr Tomlinson will join Dean Hoyle, chairman of Huddersfield Town Football Club, plus a number of other entrepreneurs who will be announced in the run-up to the conference. Together they will offer expert business advice and personal insights to delegates attending the event.

He said: "Yorkshire is a hotbed of entrepreneurial talent and I'm happy to share my experiences with like-minded people in the region, who are keen to make their mark on the world of business."

Mr Tomlinson, who has an estimated wealth of 400m, was announced as the 168th richest person in the UK in the annual Sunday Times Rich List in April 2010. He is founder and chairman of Leeds-based LNT Group which consists of five core businesses, including Ginetta Cars, Ideal Care Homes, LNT Software, LNT Solutions and LNT Construction.

Run in the style of BBC's Question Time, the Billion Pound Panel is one part of The Yorkshire Mafia Conference, which is set to be Yorkshire's largest free business event, taking place on March 15 at Royal Armouries in Leeds.
