Major deals for crisp producer

The Yorkshire Crisp Company has won two major supermarket contracts.

The firm, based at Wales Bar, near Sheffield, is selling its premium crisps to all 102 of the region's Morrisons branches.

The crisp company has also agreed a deal with Waitrose, which has agreed to take bags in Yorkshire stores and at its flagship John Lewis Foodhall in Oxford Street, London, and in Bluewater shopping centre in Kent.

Tim Wheatley, sales director of The Yorkshire Crisp Company, said: "We are very pleased that our product will not only be more widely available in Yorkshire stores, but that we are reaching out to a wider market of consumers outside of the region."

The crisps are already available in Yorkshire branches of Tesco, Sainsbury and Booths as well as independent retailers and farm shops.
