Management team buys out TD Travel

TD Travel, which is based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, and has offices in Leeds, Hull, and Liverpool, was backed by the Leeds office of mid-market private equity firm LDC in the deal for an undisclosed sum.

It has a £45m turnover and specialises in providing personalised business travel consultancy and booking services to over 500 companies. It employs 60 consultants.

The management buyout team was led by commercial director Ian White. Other team members were Chris Needham, former founder and chief executive of hotel booking provider Hotelscene and operations director Chris Mollan. Dick Porter, a co-founder of STA Travel, joins the business as non-executive chairman.
